This week is principal and assistant principal appreciation week. We have had a spirit week all week and our teachers have shown their appreciation for Mrs. Hokanson and Mr. Slezak every day. Yesterday's theme was "Whatever it takes to win"! Our teachers and staff showed up in their black-and-white and checkered print patterns to show our principals that they are in the winners circle!

📚⚔️ Battle of the Books is Here! ⚔️📚

Battle of the Books
📚 A new reading adventure is coming to Pearl Sample! 📚

We’re excited to introduce Battle of the Books, our newest reading incentive led by Ms. Seeley, Mrs. Jones, and our amazing Reading Team!

Each grade band (K–1, 2–3, and 4–5) has been given a list of 6 exciting books. From now through Read Across America Week (March 2–6), students are encouraged to read as many of the books as they can—whether through print, ebooks, audiobooks, or read-alouds.

During Read Across America Week, classes will compete in a fun game to determine which students know the books best. Winning teams will advance to round two for a chance to become the grade-level champions! 🏆

📖 How families can help:
We’re looking to build our collection and would love your support! Please consider donating a book from our Amazon Wishlist so all students can participate and fall in love with reading. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2HA8A1XWZFPKP?ref_=wl_share
