Miss Van Pelt's first graders had fun rocking around the room as they recorded the time to the hour and half hour. They also enjoyed playing teacher / student as they hid numbers on a 100s board as the "teacher" and then explained how they knew which number was hidden as the "student". Math is so much fun!

They were excited to see how many times they could do each activity within a minute (writing their name, jumping jacks, leg lifts, etc.) We look forward to learning to tell time and incorporating more exercise into our lessons.
